Holding special events at the Bargello museums

 

 

Holding events and special tours in the Bargello Museums is subject to authorization by the Director and to the payment of a fee, according to the Italian "Codice dei Beni Culturali" (D.Lgs. n. 42 del 22/01/2004, artt. 107-108).

The Director may concede the temporary use of specific spaces in the following museums:

Museo Nazionale del Bargello
Museo delle Cappelle Medicee
Museo di Palazzo Davanzati
Museo di Orsanmichele
Museo di Casa Martelli

Getting images from the Bargello museums

 

 

The Bargello Museums do not provide images. Our official reseller is the Gabinetto Fotografico delle Gallerie degli Uffizi, Piazzale degli Uffizi, 50122 Firenze.

The cost of the images includes standard publishing rights. For a different print run or other uses, please see the "Rights & Permissions" section below.

Getting permission to use images from the Bargello museums

 

 

The use of images of works of art from the Bargello Museums is subject to authorization and - in some cases - to the payment of a fee, according to the Italian "Codice dei Beni Culturali" (D.Lgs. n. 42 del 22/01/2004, artt. 107-108).

It is free to use legitimately acquired images in non-profit activities for the purposes of study, research, free expression of thought, creative expression, and the promotion of knowledge of the cultural heritage (D.Lgs. n. 42 del 22/01/2004, art. 108).

To request the authorization, please download the enclosed application form, fill in and sign it, and send it to the following contact:

You will first receive a fee payment request, if applicable, and, as soon as the payment has been made, you will receive the authorization.

FILMING AND LOCATION HIRE

Filming and photo shooting at the Bargello museums

 

 

Inside the Bargello museums, it is possible to take photos and footage for the acquisition of professional images, upon authorization by the Director and against the payment of a fee, according to the Italian "Codice dei Beni Culturali" (D.Lgs. n. 42 del 22/01/2004, artt. 107-108).

On the other hand, it is always free to take photos and videos without using flashes, stands or tripods.

Normally, professional shooting can be made when the museums are closed, with the assistance of museum’s surveillance staff, whose service is to be paid separately.
